Since 2010, LCUP has been dedicated to providing free, high-quality English language education to immigrants and refugees in the Tampa Bay area. We believe that language is the key to opportunity, connection, and belonging.
Our Mission Statement
To teach adults (16 years and older) literacy skills to enhance their self-esteem, increase occupational and social opportunities, and enrich lifestyles.
Our Commitment
We provide free, individualized English language instruction and citizenship classes to help students achieve their personal and professional goals.
Our Community
Funded in part by the Pinellas Community Foundation, we serve the Tampa Bay area with volunteer teachers dedicated to student success.

The Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to teaching adults (age 16 and older) literacy skills using individualized curricula to enhance their self-esteem, increase occupational and social opportunities and to enrich lifestyles.
